Inspiration from the Baroque era
The 24 diamonds on the casing are mirrored against each other as in the mirrored room of the Chateau de Versailles. In this room 17 mirrors are placed on one side of the hall, which reflects the grand windows on the opposide side. This effect is recreated in the dial with 12 diamonds the reflect the diamonds on the casing.
The dial is decorated with a twirling structure. In the era of the baroque, the goal of arcitecture was to create something incredible which seemed to be moving.
The inspiration behind the black dial also comes from the era of the baroque, where light and shadow was of great importance in arcitecture. A black hand stitched crocodile strap was made for the watch.
